Biography
Roland Stimson was born in Glasgow and completed medical undergraduate training in 2001. He trained in general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology in Edinburgh and became a consultant in 2013. He undertakes in clinics in diabetes and endocrinology, and has specific interests in type 1 diabetes and congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
He is an MRC Clinician Scientist with a research interest in obesity and type two diabetes mellitus, with a specific focus on the role and regulation of adipose tissue and the adverse metabolic effects of glucocorticoids.
